We are trying to take this opportunity to give back to our community. Many organizations gather food and clothing for the homeless, we would like to focus on shoes, any size, style or color just so they are usable! Our community has helped us with towels, blankets and dog supplies from the beginning. We want to try to give back. Shoes can be dropped off at our Pet Fair on September 7th at Warminster Community Park or contact us at 267-684-6187 to arrange for a drop off at our adoption center. Please help us, help others!
We are an all breed dog rescue, founded in 2008 in Southampton, Pennsylvania. Wet Nose Rescue is a 100% foster based rescue meaning that while we have an adoption center, we do not kennel dogs there. Instead our adoptable dogs and puppies are kept in local foster homes which allows them to become socialized with families and not kept in a kennel while waiting to be adopted. We aim to match adoptable dogs with loving and caring families, while making the adoption process simple and straight forward.
Our hours at the Adoption Center, located at 14425 Bustleton Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19116, are by appointment only. If you have any questions about adopting a dog or puppy, please feel free to call us at 267-684-6187.
Keep an eye on our calendar for fun events coming up. We are a very active group and we love to see new and past adopters as often as possible!

Wet Nose Rescue in the News

I looked at the caged animals in the shelter. . . the cast offs of human society. I saw in their eyes, love and hope, fear and dread, sadness and betrayal and I was angry.
“God” I said, “this is terrible. Why don't you do something…?”
God was silent for a moment and then he spoke softly. “I have done something” he replied, “I created you.”
